How to make WhatsApp templates

A WhatsApp template is a pre-formatted message that needs to be approved by Meta before being used. It is ideal for automated communications or notifications sent outside the standard 24-hour service window.

What do you need before you start?

Have a user with the administrator.

How to create WhatsApp templates in Hablla

1. Once logged into your account, go to the Studio. In the upper right corner of the screen, next to the initial of your name, you will find the Settings (gear) icon. Click it to open the settings menu.

2. On the left side of the screen in the Settings menu, locate the Connections and integrations.

3. Click on + Add to enter the templates interface, where your already registered numbers will be made available and new ones can be created.

4. Click on a message box to view the information related to your added number, as well as to view and customize message templates.

5. Click on Message templates to view the templates

6. In this interface, you can see the list of created templates, as well as information related to each one, such as its name, status, and category. Click on + Add template to start the process of creating your template

7. There are three template structures: Marketing, Utility and Authentication.

Marketing: Sending promotional and engagement messages to your customers. May include offers, discounts, news, and event invitations.

Utility: Messages related to services provided, such as appointment confirmations, order status updates, and support notifications.

Authentication: Security and verification messages, such as authentication codes, login confirmations, suspicious activity alerts and password resets.

To continue, let's start creating a template with the Marketing category. Click on Next step.

8. This is our template creation interface. It contains several fields to be filled in. Template name: The name of your template to be saved, for managing it.

Header: The top of the message. It can be text, Image, Video or Document.

Body: The central content of your template.

Variables: Variables are important to personalize keywords used in the template, such as the customer's name, company sector, among other possibilities relevant to your needs.

Footer: The end of your message.

Buttons: Buttons can be used to continue your conversation or redirect to links.

9. When you save your message template it will be sent for approval by Meta and will appear with the status Pending. Wait a few moments and your template will appear as approved and will be ready and can be used!
